Pastor’s Corner
I gladly welcome you again into the new month of October in the year 2025, which is the God’s Year for our Divine Zeal for the Kingdom’s assignments (Romans 12: 11). This is our unusual month of Divine Comfort. The Hebrew word “Nachatn” means to sigh with another, and thus to have fellow-feeling. There are seven levels of compassion in the Bible:
- Sympathy: The sons and daughters of Jacob “rose up to comfort him,” when it was thought Joseph was slain (Genesis 37:35).
- Help: Ruth said to Boaz: “Thou hast comforted me” (Ruth 2:13)
- Rest: Job said, “My bed shall comfort me” (Job. 7:13)
- Assurance: “The Lord hath comforted His people” (Isaiah 49:13)
- Affection: “As one whom his mother comforted” (Isaiah 66:13)
- Supply: “Thou shalt comfort me on every side” (Psalm 71:21)
- Courage: “I, even I, am He that comforted you” (Isaiah 51:12)
I pray that we will receive unusual help, rest, assurance, affection supply and affection from God regardless of our challenging situations today! (Amen)
