September 2016 – Month of Divine Acceptance

    Pastor’s Corner

I colorfully welcome you into the new month of September, which is our Month of Divine Acceptance.

There are five times of love in the New Testament:

    1. PISTEMIA—PASSION FOR SPORTS OR GAMES (MARK 4: 14; LUKE 17: 22)
    2. EROTIC-SEXUAL-FOR MARRIAGE ONLY (HEBREWS 13:4)
    3. PHILEO-BROTHERLY LOVE (1 THESS. 4: 9-10; HEBREWS 13: 1)
    4. STORGE-FAMILY LOVE (ROMANS 1: 31; 12: 10; 2 TIM. 3: 3)
    5. AGAPE-GOD-KIND OF LOVE (JON 3: 16; 1 JOHN 4: 7-12; JEREMIAH 31: 3)

But the strongest of the love is the agape love, which is the God-kind of love towards everybody. And with this kind of love we do not need to be seeking for love or approval from any other wrong place or person. May you accept the love of God for your life today. Amen.

    God’s Wonderful Love (John 3:1)

“Behold, what foreign-kind of love” is literally what John writes. Paul had this idea in mind when he wrote Rom. 5:6–10. Love is the greatest motive in the world, and if we understand God’s love, we will obey His Word. “If you love me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Of course, the world has no understanding of this love, and the world hates us. But the world does not know Christ, so it cannot know Christ’s own.

  • August 2016 – Month of Divine Fullness

August 2016 – Month of Divine Fullness

    Pastor’s Corner

I joyfully welcome you afresh into the New Month of August, which is the glorious time for our church annual August Convention. The God of Hope has promised to fill us with the fullness of His glory and power.

In the view Martin (1993), “Plērōma is the Greek noun for fullness, meaning “that which fills or completes,” or “the resulting completeness.” It occurs in the New Testament a number of times in a non-theological sense, e.g., in Mark 6:43 of the filled baskets of leftover fragments. In seven instances it has a distinct theological meaning: John 1:16, “from His fullness we have all received.” Ephesians 1:22–23, “the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 3:19, “so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 4:13, “to the measure of the full stature [the stature of the fullness of Christ).” Colossians 1:19, for in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. Colossians 2:9, for in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. Colossians 2:10, you have come to fullness in him.”

In a nutshell, every Christian has access to the total fullness of God. So by His grace you can become all that God has programmed your life to be. That is, there is a divine capacity in you to excel in life against all the odds. Now arise to fill your emptiness with the complete fullness of your heavenly Father. Amen.

    R. E. O. White, the British preacher, observed regarding the fullness of God: “The surest sign that you are carrying a full bucket is wet feet.” That is true to our experience, is it not? Whenever we attempt to carry a full bucket to clean the floor or wash the car, we always get wet feet! And when our lives are full, they will overflow.

July 2016 – Month of The Authority Over The Gates Of Hell

    Pastor’s Corner

I joyfully welcome you afresh into the New Month of July, which is our last month of preparation for our church annual August Convention. This is our Month of Divine Revelational Knowledge and the God of Hope has promised to manifest His new glory in our life and family. Interestingly, the Hebrew word “Yada  and the Greek word “Ginosko,” both means an intimate or an experiential knowledge of somebody or something. It is the same word used to indicate that Adam and Eve intimate knew each other in the book of Genesis. So when apply to God, it means to have a pure and holy standing relationship with the living God on a daily basis. But regrettably, most of us have working knowledge of our beloved vehicles and electrical gadgets even more than knowing God or family members.

I strongly believe that one of the greatest challenges for us today is to have a daily closer walk with God so as to receive the supernatural strength for victory and success. It is important to know every great person and place in the world, but the in the end it is only the intimate knowledge of God that will carry you the unavoidable storms of life. Today may your intimate knowledge of increase so as to obliterate the power of devil and his recruits and reserves in your life. Amen.

  • May 2016 – Month of My Manasseh & Ephraim

May 2016 – Month of My Manasseh & Ephraim

    Pastor’s Corner

I confidently welcome you anew into the New Year 2016, God’s Year for Our LIMITLESS GRACE.  This New Month of May is prophetically the Month of Your Manasseh and Ephraim. The names were the prophetic names Joseph gave to his sons in Egypt. In the providence of God, the two Hebrew names: Manasseh (forgetfulness) signified that God had made him forget the misery of his separation from his family. Ephraim (double fruitfulness) signified that God had made him fruitful in the land of Egypt. Indeed, Joseph went through a lot of trials and sorrows for almost thirteen years in the land of Egypt before the hidden glory finally manifested (Genesis 45: 13). In the same manner, the God of Hope has spoken to cause you to forget your past shame and pains by making you to have a double fruitfulness in your land of Destiny. Now get ready to do away with every past hardship, sorrow, suffering and pain. Amen.

April 2016 – Month of Divine Double Portion

    Pastor’s Corner

I joyfully welcome you afresh into the New Year 2016, God’s Year for Our LIMITLESS GRACE. Amazingly, the new month of April is our God’s Month of Divine Double Portion. In the Bible double portion is the sole inheritance of the family firstborn (Deuteronomy 21: 17). Graciously, every born-again child of God is a firstborn in the kingdom due to our covenant connection to Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten and firstborn of the Father ((Ephesians 1:20–23; Colossians 1:18, 24; Hebrews 2:10–12). So regardless of your natural birth order you are entitled to the privilege of the double portions of the kingdom. May the good Lord double-size your blessings today. Amen.

    A Double Portion.
When Elijah was taken into heaven alive, Elisha begged to “inherit a double portion of [Elijah’s] spirit” (2 Kings 2:9). The request reflects Old Testament inheritance law: the oldest son and successor of his father was given a double portion. Elisha was asking to succeed Elijah as leading prophet in the land.
Interestingly, the Bible also reports twice as many miracles of Elisha as Elijah (14 compared to 7). They are: (1) separating the Jordan waters, 2:14; (2) healing spring waters, 2:21; (3) cursing jeering young men, 2:24; (4) filling ditches with water and winning a battle, 3:15–26; (5) multiplying a widow’s oil, 4:1–7; (6) promising a pregnancy, 4:14–17; (7) raising a Shunammite’s son from the dead, 4:32–37; (8) making poison harmless, 4:38–41; (9) multiplying loaves, 4:42–44; (10) healing Naaman the leper, 5:1–19; cursing Gehazi with leprosy, 5:19“27; (11) making an axhead float, 6:1–6; (12) blinding and trapping an Aramean army, 6:8–23; (13) showing his servant an angel army, 6:15–17; (14) and predicting an excess of food for besieged Samaria, (6:24–7:20).

CAN YOU SLEEP WHILE THE WIND BLOWS?

The hymn “God Moves in a Mysterious Way” has been a source of great comfort and blessing to many of God’s people since William Cowper wrote it in the 18th century. Yet few people know of the unusual circumstances that led to its composition. William Cowper was a Christian, but he had sunk to the depths of despair. One foggy night he called for a horse drawn carriage and asked to be taken to the London Bridge on the Thames River. He was so overcome by depression that he intended to commit suicide. But after two hours of driving through the mist, Cowper’s coachman reluctantly confessed that he was lost. Disgusted by the delay, Cowper left the carriage and decided to find the London Bridge on foot. After walking only a short distance, though, he discovered that he was at his own doorstep! The carriage had been going in circles. Immediately he recognized the restraining hand of God in it all. Convicted by the Spirit, he realized that the way out of his troubles was to look to God, not to jump into the river. As he cast his burden on the Savior his heart was comforted. With gratitude he sat down and penned these reassuring words: “God moves in a mysterious way His wonders to perform; He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm. O fearful saints, fresh courage take, the clouds you so much dread are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on your head.”

As we move into the end of the year it is glaring that our world is full of political, economic, social, religious and personal unrests. Sadly, the wave of restlessness in our world has surged into an exceptional level of chaos, animosity and hopelessness. However, there is still total rest in our able God, who has promised the believers in Christ a fulfilled rest here and hereafter (Hebrews 12: 22-24). I pray that as we round up the year 2015 you will relax in God and enjoy a total freedom from every restlessness situation in your life, home, health, career and relationships today (Amen).

    Conclusion

The story is told of a little boy who was given a priceless possession. It was his deceased grandfather’s beautiful gold pocket watch. My, how he treasured it! It was to be a lifelong reminder of his dear grandfather and his love for him. But one day, while playing at his father’s ice plant, he lost the watch amid all the ice and sawdust. He searched and searched, but he could not find the watch. He became frantic. Then he suddenly realized what to do. He stopped scurrying and scratching around and became very still. He just listened. And in the silence, he heard the watch: tick, tick, tick, tick. He found his treasure by becoming quiet! (PSALM 46: 10)

    REVELATIONAL INSIGHT

THE BLESSINGS OF TRIALS OF FAITH

I read about a problem a company was having with shipping cod from the East Coast to the West Coast. Apparently, by the time the fish arrived, they were spoiled. So they tried freezing the fish, but upon arrival, they were mushy to the taste. Next they sent the cod live, but when they arrived, the fish were all dead. So they tried sending them live once again, but with a difference: included in the tanks of the live cod was their mortal enemy, the catfish. And when they arrived, the cod were alive and well, because they had spent the entire journey evading the catfish.
